Fergie and Josh Duhamel are expecting their first baby!

The Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie said on Monday that she and her husband, actor Josh Duhamel, are expecting a baby."Josh & Me & BABY makes three!!!," she tweeted. She also posted photos of herself and her husband as toddlers.It is the first child for the couple married in 2009.

Duhamel, 40, appeared in the "Transformers" movies and stars this year in the film "Safe Haven."Fergie, 37, whose real name is Stacy Ferguson, joined The Black Eyed Peas in 2002 for their third album, "Elephunk," which proved to be a huge commercial success.

"Fergie and Me and BABY makes three." That's the excited message Josh Duhamel, 40, posted on Twitter Monday, sharing the news that he and his wife, Fergie, are expecting a baby together. Fergie, 37, followed suit: "Josh and me and BABY makes three!!!" she tweeted, with the hashtag #mylovelybabybump. They attached a cute photo too, of themselves as children, Photoshopped together with a kitten (as if the post could get more viral).

The couple married in January 2009, and Duhamel has often talked of wanting to be a father.

"It'll happen," he told USA TODAY just a few weeks ago, while promoting his new Nicholas Sparks film, Safe Haven. "It's happening. But every three months she's pregnant (in the press). If she gets a little paunch everyone thinks she's pregnant. It's like well thanks, they're basically calling you fat. But like my mom said, well, if she's been pregnant as long as everyone says that she is, well then we're going to have a baby elephant. We're on our own schedule with that."

Julianne Hough called her Safe Haven co-star "so genuine," and beautiful on the inside, to boot. "He has a joy and a light about him, especially when he's with the kids," she said. "He's going to be an awesome dad one day."

His former Life as We Know It co-star Katherine Heigl agreed. "It was fun to even see him with my daughter," she told USA TODAY. "He's so drawn to children. He gives off some scent or something — they gravitate toward him."

Meanwhile, Fergie's got her maternity wardrobe ready. "I love (wearing) sweats," she told Rachel Ray in September. "I steal Josh's T-shirts. It's fun! They're baggy and he likes it."
